What is muay thai?

The Muay Thai It is an ancient martial art and intrinsically linked to the Thai culture. It is known as "The art of the eight limbs», since in the fighting techniques used; cuffs, elbows, legs and knees.

This sport full contact combat, It puts great emphasis on conditioning of the body and includes routines as; run, shadow boxing, jump rope, medicine ball exercises, ABS, Boxing with different types of bags, sparring paos, etc.

It is a sport that you can practice both adults, as children and youth. Each brand their own pace and intensity.

Integral form human beings through martial arts, such as Muay Thai, with principles of discipline, respect, perseverance, self control, humility and fighting spirit. In this way my students develop skills to cope with challenges in their daily lives, and learn to defend themselves.

MY STORY

Pedro Torres (Palma de Mallorca, 29 of July 1989) It is a Spanish professional thaiboxer.

He has won the European Championship WMF (World Muay Thai Federation) in 2011 in category 63,5 kg. From this year he has traveled several times to Thailand, cradle of muaythai, paddling against the best fighters in the National Stadium in Bangkok. In 2012 It has been proclaimed World Champion Federation AITMA (Association Institue of Thai Martial Arts) en en Ayutthaya 63,5 kg. In 2014 He has won the prestigious Tournament birthday of the King of Thailand in Phuket, in the category 67 kg. Currently still he is fighting in the best circuits in Muay Thai at the international level (Taliandia, Italy, Germany…).

Pedro started training when I was very small: played "fights" with his father, who he transmitted the passion for martial arts and trained with him until the age of majority. To the 18 he pointed to a gym Muay Thai, where they discovered their talent.

At the crowned champions of the world 2012, Pedro decided to open his own gym Muay Thai on his return to Spain, in order to teach what they have learned in Thailand and convey his passion fans sport.

KEYS TO SUCCESS

To succeed in this sport, the key is to train hard and constantly, maintain a good diet and rest the hours necessary. If you lack these 3 factors, You can not give maximum performance as an athlete.

We have a Thai boxing gym, located in Muro, in the north of the island of Mallorca. This is a facility open air, to the purest style Thai, with everything you need for this sport. We have a ring, bags, peso, tires, etc.
